The teaching of undergraduate orthodontics in Nigeria

Department of Child Dental Health, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria.

A description is given of the teaching of Orthodontics to Undergraduate Dental Students in Nigeria over the last 15 years. The advantages of a change in Orthodontic curriculum at the University of Lagos Dental School are highlighted. The importance of having at least one full-time Orthodontist, in each Nigerian dental school, is emphasized.
