This pocket sized book is one of a series from these publishers that includes amongst its dental titles, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, Medicine and Surgery for Dentistry, Oral Medicine (and a Picture Test book), Oral Pathology, and Periodontology. The book is illustrated in colour throughout, and gives succinct summaries of conditions. For instance, Class I malocclusion has the following headings, supported by photographs as appropriate: Incidence, Aetiology, Occlusal Features, with Treatment of Crowding, Bimaxillary Proclination, and Spacing. This pattern is repeated throughout and there is a seamless transition from orthodontist to paediatric dentist. It is sure to develop a fan club due to the easy digestability of information and the dimensions that will fit easily in the pocket of a white coat without weighing down the wearer. As a revision aid it is ideal, however those who want more depth of information will have to look elsewhere.
